Is your business eligible to join our salary packaging community?

Our salary packaging card is for personal use by employees who work for an eligible employer under Sections 57A and 65J of the Fringe Benefits Tax Assessment Act 1986. These sections grant eligibility to the following employer organisations: 

  • Public Benevolent Institutions (charities, etc) 
  • Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Government Departments, etc 
  • Rebatable Non-for-Profit Organisations.

We offer a choice of two salary packaging cards.

Salary Packaging Card.

A Salary Packaging card (living expenses card) allows an individual to use pre-tax income for purchases associated with everyday living such as groceries, clothes, fuel or pay for expenses like utility bills. The Class Ruling for this product has been approved and published by the ATO (CR 2016/18).  

Meal Entertainment card.

A Meal Entertainment card allows an individual to use pre-tax income for purchases associated with food and entertainment such as dine-in meals at bistros, cafes, hotels and restaurants and pay for holiday accommodation in Australia and overseas. The Class Ruling for this product has been approved and published by the ATO (CR 2016/85).

Salary Packaging is only available to employees of the Public Benevolent Institutions and employees of Health Promotion Charity where status has been granted by the ATO. Salary Packaging is a Fringe Benefit that employees can access if they are employed by an organisation that qualifies for a Fringe Benefit Tax exemption.

There are no direct charges from Beyond Bank to your account with us, however, your salary packaging provider/employer may charge you a fee for the provision of these services.

This fee is payable when you use your Visa Credit Card, Visa Debit Card or Visa Prepaid Card to make a transaction:
- In a foreign currency when using your card either online or at a merchant point of sale (irrespective of where the transaction occurs); and/or
- In Australian dollars, when either the merchant or its financial institution/payment processor is located or registered overseas, including transactions that involve dynamic currency conversion where a transaction denominated in a foreign currency is converted to local currency.
(This fee will be collected by Cuscal, with 1.0% payable to us, 1.0% is retained by Cuscal and 1.0% is paid to Visa International). Some overseas Merchants may allow you to pay in Australian dollars, for example, when you make a purchase online or over the phone. This is still considered an international transaction as the transaction is processed overseas and will attract any International Transaction Fee.
