Scam Alert - Catching a 'hacker.'

We have received reports from customers who have been contacted by individuals requesting assistance in catching a ‘hacker.’

The scammer fabricates a detailed story and urgently requires you to transfer funds so that the ‘hacker’ can be traced.

Scammers are becoming advanced in their techniques so it’s important you remain vigilant to protect yourself from being scammed.

Beyond Bank, including our Fraud team, will never ask you to help us catch a scammer, transfer money to another institution, share online banking security codes or request remote access to your device.

How can you protect yourself?

  • Stay alert to scam calls and text messages.
  • Remember that Beyond Bank will never ask you to make a transaction.
  • If you have suspicions about the legitimacy of the call, hang up and call us back on 13 25 85, send us a Secure Message via Internet Banking or the Mobile App or visit a branch.

For more information about how to protect yourself and your loved ones and how to report scams, see our Scams and Security pages.
